“Hear No” - written by Joshua Merchant, directed by Jamie Dewolf

Part of The Bigger Picture, a project we’ve been working on at Youth Speaks in collaboration with UCSF with the goal of getting young folks to raise their voices against the systematic poor environmental conditions/lack of access to healthy food/health care in low income communities that have turned Type II Diabetes into an epidemic. The official website, where youth can upload their own videos and stories and win scholarships for activism will launch in the Fall, as well as a series of high school workshops.

I wrote and act in a few, but this one is my favorite. Action-wise this is one of the most simple, but Josh’s writing and delivery, combined with Jamie’s direction and editing is simply powerful.
